MILLOM PARK FITNESS TRAIL IS NOW IN USE
This comprises 15 items of dual-use equipment supplied and installed by OGGO on Cumbria's first free outdoor fitness trail enabling up to 30 users at a time.
The equipment cost of £25,000 has been funded by Community Spaces & National Lottery, together with the Copeland Community Fund and the project established by the Friends of Millom Park supported by Millom Town Council who own and maintain Millom Park.
The public launch event will be held on the afternoon of Sunday September 25th.
PLEASE REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS TO USE THE FITNESS EQUIPMENT:
• ALL USERS DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK.
• PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR EACH PIECE OF EQUIPMENT BEFORE USE.
• IT IS ADVISED THAT ANYONE USING THE EQUIPMENT SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE FROM THEIR GP PRIOR TO USING THE EQUIPMENT, PARTICULARLY THOSE WITH A HEALTH PROBLEM OR PHYSICAL CONDITION.
• DO NOT USE THE EQUIPMENT WHEN UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS OR IF FEELING TIRED.
• IF THE EQUIPMENT IS DAMAGED DO NOT USE BUT REPORT THE DAMAGE TO THE COUNCIL OFFICE.
• TAKE TIME TO WARM-UP PROPERLY BEFORE AND WARM-DOWN AFTER EXERCISE TO MINIMISE THE POSSIBILITY OF STRAINED MUSCLES.
• INJURIES MAY RESULT FROM EXCESSIVE OR IMPROPER USE OF THE EQUIPMENT. OGGO LTD AND MILLOM COUNCIL ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES THAT MAY BE INCURRED FROM USING THIS EQUIPMENT.
• IF YOU FEEL PAIN OR UNUSUAL SYMPTOMS, STOP EXERCISING IMMEDIATELY AND CONSULT YOUR GP.
• IT IS ADVISABLE TO WEAR APPROPRIATE SPORTS CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR.
• IT IS ADVISED THAT CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 12 BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT.
• DO NOT ABUSE THE EQUIPMENT, TREAT IT WITH RESPECT.
