SOUTH COPELAND DISABILITY GROUP OPENS THE MILLOM CENTRE FOR INDEPENDANT LIVING ON THURSDAY 1st APRIL

“ On Thursday April 1st 2010 the SCDG will open the Millom CiL (Centre for Independent Living) drop in at the Bradbury Centre, St George`s Road, Millom...from 1-00pm to 4-00pm...and from then on, every first Friday in the month....ALL ADVICE AND HELP IS FREE

 

It is a Government way of trying to make your living in your own home longer, the CiL will guide you to those problem areas that you could be finding difficult to manage, ...filling in forms, obtaining medical help, police advice or complaints, vandal complaints, council either local or Copeland complaints or queries, money problems, smoke alarms fitted or batteries changed, or even a fire risk report,we are working along side the following sevices, Millom Waterloo Surgery, Millom Hospital, Millom Fire Service, C.A.B.,the Community Police, Diversity and Complaints Dept of the Police, Millom Town Council, Allerdale Disability Association, Copeland Disability Forum, Barrow and District Disability Association, Disability Association Carlisle & Eden, Service Development Manager (PDSI),Cumbria Disability Network, we will also include hearing problems and visually impaired vision problems.................. everything will be confidential..
