DISABLED ACCESS ON TO TRAINS

Disabled people have spoke to the SCDG on several occassions about boarding the local trains

SCDG are starting to gather information about the problems disabled people have about using the rail service and boarding/disembarking mostly...  The Copeland Rail Users Group, has been invited to our next meeting 13th SEPTEMBER in MILLOM NETWORK CENTRE @ 10-30am to give us advice and information on what they are doing, before we go to the train service management.   if you have a point to make about using the train service, getting your wheelchair, scooter or just having steps made available to get on or off the trains....come along.hopefully between us and the rail users group, we can make it known ...to the people that have the authority to do something..

The SCDG have wrote to NORTHERN RAIL and have a booklet with all the details of stations that are accessible and what will be done for passengers who want to board or dismount from unaccessible stations....contact the Secretary  01229773341 for info...
