Top three open gap

WITH six matches remaining in the Rothay Bowling League, the top three teams in Division One are starting to pull away from the rest of the field.
BOWLS
Burneside A have closed the gap to only four points on current leaders, Coniston A, with both teams having had good away wins this week.
Staveley A are only a further point behind in third and are favourably placed with a game in hand on both the teams above them.
In Division Two, Ambleside A have increased their lead at the top of the table and one more good result next week should confirm their promotion.
Meanwhile, their main rivals for the title, Allithwaite A, suffered their first defeat of the season, losing a closely-fought match 6-4 away to Hawkshead A.
